2023 Poppy Drive: OVER $3000 COLLECTED!

Members of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 61 and Post 61 conducted the Auxiliary’s annual poppy drive at various business locations in Mountain City, 19-20 May 2023. All donations are used to assist veterans and their families in need and all donations remain in Johnson County.

We are grateful for the generosity displayed every year of those who support our veterans and their families. We have a large veteran population for such a small county and the most veteran-friendly community anywhere.

National Poppy Day is 26 May. We are continually aiming higher, working together for our veterans and our community.

Pictured are only a few of those who volunteered their time and also donated for the cause.
